This is a breakout board for the Atmel AT30TS750A Temperature Sensor featured on the I2C and SPI Education Shield and is compatible with all the associated Rheingold Heavy tutorials. The cute little chip on there communicates over I2C making it very easy to manage in your code, and the board has 10K pull up resistors already soldered down, so it’s ready to start working with your favorite microcontroller.
The AT30TS750A is able to measure temperatures from -55C to +125C and is user configurable through code for 9 to 12 bits of resolution. Temperature alarms are configurable as well, and delivered to your micro via the ALARM pin.
The chip is capable of operating with a wide range of voltage sources from 1.7 to 5V, so whatever your favorite microcontroller is, you can hook it up right away.
Board pictured is a prototype – final board may include minor changes.
